Overview
Our workshop is a hands-on, guided resume-building class.
Participants come prepared with a job description of a desired role and a list of their relevant experience and education history (an existing resume if available).
Participants gain a solid understanding of how to relate their experience to a given job and identify what's important when building their resume.
Workshop outline
- Participants identify keywords and extract key requirements from a written job description.
- We discuss additional unwritten job requirements.
- We teach participants how to translate their experience into relatable tasks and responsibilities.
- Participants build a resume addressing the written and unwritten requirements.
- Finally, we explain the keys to effective formatting.
